Research has shown that mindfulness practice for children aged 7- 11 years promotes self esteem, improved sleep quality and capacity for attention.
Children who practice mindfulness learn to recognise and respond to emotions improving their self regulation skills. Increased abilities for attention can lead to better planning and organisation.
Guided mindfulness practice can enable acceptance of self and situation leading to feelings of calm.
Classes run for 1 hrs for 5 consecutive weeks, with a maximum of 6 children attending.
Each week your children will learn new skills in attention, recognising and responding to bodily cues, relaxation and acceptance.
Using games, movements, story telling and visualisation sessions are fun and child centred.
Mindfulness classes cost £35 for 5 weekly sessions.

In 2020 I attended an 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course with Monash University (world leading mindfulness research university) and have practiced daily ever since.
I trained to teach mindfulness with the British Institute of Mindfulness and have taught mindfulness practices to children aged 2 - 14 years and their families.
I regularly attend guided meditation classes in the South Hams.
